Backup as a Service

How We Keep Your Data Recoverable

A backup you never tested is just a hope with a price tag.

Everything that matters is backed up: Servers, workstations, Microsoft 365, and line-of-business apps, not just a folder someone remembered.

Copies live off your network: Backups go to encrypted cloud storage, geo-separated, so a local disaster does not take the backup with it.

Backups cannot be encrypted: Immutable, write-once copies mean the first thing ransomware tries, deleting your recovery, simply fails.

Restores are tested, not assumed: We run scheduled test restores and measure recovery time, so you know it works before you need it.

Microsoft 365 is included: Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams are captured, because Microsoft does not back your data up the way owners assume.

Failures get caught fast: A failed nightly job triggers an alert to a real person, not a silent gap you discover months later.

A Katy-based engineer runs the restore: When you need data back, the person who knows your setup handles it, not a ticket queue during your worst hour.

Put managed, tested Backup as a Service behind your business before you need it to work.

Backup as a Service  //  Houston SMBs

Everyone has backups. Far fewer have backups that actually come back.

The backup nobody tested is the one that fails at the worst moment. A drive in the closet, a sync to a folder, a tool that quietly stopped running in March. Plenty of Houston businesses discover the gap only after ransomware or a dead server, when the restore does not work.

CinchOps runs Backup as a Service: managed, monitored, immutable cloud backups that are tested for actual recovery, not just assumed to exist. When you need them, they come back.

// What CinchOps does

CinchOps backs up your servers, endpoints, and Microsoft 365 to immutable cloud storage, then tests the restore so recovery is proven, not assumed.

// why CinchOps runs your backups

A backup you never tested is just a hope with a price tag.

The difference between a one-day incident and a four-week shutdown is almost always the backup. CinchOps runs and tests backups for Houston construction firms, CPA practices, healthcare offices, and law firms, so recovery is something you have, not something you find out about.

01

Immutable by default

Backups are written to storage attackers cannot alter or encrypt, so the first thing ransomware tries, deleting your recovery, simply does not work. The copy stays clean.

02

Tested, not assumed

We run scheduled test restores and measure how long recovery actually takes. You learn your backups work on a quiet Tuesday, not during a crisis when the answer matters most.

03

Microsoft 365 included

Microsoft keeps the lights on, but it does not back up your data the way most owners assume. We capture Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams so a deleted or encrypted mailbox is recoverable.

04

A named Houston engineer

A Katy-based engineer owns your backup health, watches the nightly jobs, and runs the restore when you need it. You are not filing a ticket and waiting during the worst hour of your year.

FAQs

Have Questions?

What is BaaS?
Backup as a Service (BaaS) is a managed cloud backup offering where the provider runs the backup infrastructure, storage, and operations on the customer's behalf. The customer connects servers and endpoints to the service and the provider handles scheduling, retention, immutability, replication, restore testing, and reporting. BaaS removes the operational burden of running backup infrastructure in-house.
How is BaaS different from cloud backup software?
Cloud backup software is a tool that the customer's IT team still has to install, configure, and operate. BaaS is the same backup outcome delivered as a service, with the provider running the software and accepting operational responsibility. The line matters because most backup failures come from operational neglect, not technology choices, and BaaS shifts that responsibility.
What is backup immutability?
Backup immutability means the backup data cannot be modified or deleted for the duration of its retention period, regardless of credentials. Even an attacker with full administrative access cannot encrypt or delete an immutable backup before its lock period expires. Immutability is the single most important defense against ransomware crews who target backups before encrypting production data.
How long do backups need to be retained?
Retention depends on compliance and business requirements. Common patterns include daily backups for 30 days, weekly for 12 weeks, monthly for 12 months, and yearly for several years. Some industries (healthcare, financial services) have specific minimum retention periods. The retention design should match recovery point requirements and any applicable retention statutes.
How fast can we restore from BaaS?
Restore speed depends on the size of the data, the network bandwidth to the cloud, and the recovery method. Small file restores happen quickly. Full server restores of large data sets are bandwidth-bound and may take longer, which is why pairing BaaS with disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS) is common for systems that need fast recovery time objectives.
