How much notice do you need for an onboarding or offboarding?
Two business days of notice is the standard for a clean day-one onboarding. For offboardings, CinchOps can act on the same workday if the request comes in during business hours; for terminations that need immediate access revocation, CinchOps treats it as a priority request and acts within the hour during business hours. Same-workday turnaround is the standard for both.
Do you handle the device shipping and setup for remote employees?
Yes. CinchOps configures the laptop, ships it to the employee's home, and walks them through the first sign-in over a scheduled video call. The device arrives ready to use with the right applications, the right security stack, and the right access. For departing remote employees, CinchOps ships a return box, processes the device when it arrives, and confirms the data has been captured and the device has been wiped.
What is a role profile and why does it matter?
A role profile is the defined list of applications, file shares, and access rights that someone in a specific job needs. CinchOps builds the role profiles with the business owner during the first months of engagement (project manager profile, field tech profile, controller profile, etc.) so that future hires get the right access without somebody guessing. It also stops the pattern of new hires inheriting access nobody intended for them.
What happens to the departing employee's data?
Standard process: the mailbox gets exported to a PST or archived per company retention policy, the OneDrive content gets transferred to the manager or the replacement, shared files have ownership reassigned, and the licensed account is downgraded to a shared mailbox or removed depending on whether the email needs to remain accessible. Everything is documented in the offboarding summary.
Do you coordinate with our HR system or PEO?
Yes. Most CinchOps clients use a PEO or an HR platform like Gusto, Justworks, BambooHR, Paychex, or Insperity. CinchOps coordinates the IT onboarding and offboarding with whatever HR workflow the business uses, including pulling the new-hire information from the HR system when the integration is available. The IT process is built around the HR process, not in parallel to it.
